Best way to detail your engine compartment without water?

I was wondering if anybody knows a product that you can clean your whole engine bay with without having to hose it down? Without leaving white chemical residue and also safe on paint ( evo ix valve cover). I have yet to find anything. What do you guys suggest?

If you're not going to use water you'll be looking at either a waterless wash ONR or the like, or a quick detail spray for the painted bits

Then a use a spray cleaner followed by a protectant like 303 Aerospace products for the other bits.

I prefer water first.

The silicon spray for interior panels and dash works good in the engine bay too.
