Interesting...I had this happen to me and it turned out to be my coils were bad. I got some Spoolinup COP and haven't had that issue since. But I'd do a boost leak test like mentioned and I believe the IX's sputter every so often around 3k rpms especially in a higher gear going uphill.

Did one before and fixed a few small leaks. Just installed a spoolin up cop this past weekend and its still sputtering. I'll do another boost leak test.

Bad fuel? Did you fill up recently? Possibly clogged injector.

I experienced a similar situation , as soon as the car comes out of vacuum around 3-4k rpm it wud sputter badly. Checked everything , finally checked the injectors and wolla found the culprit. Changed to stock injectors for testing and all was good.

Alright, well your symptoms indicate lack of fuel during this period so throwing ideas out.

What kind of FP? Maybe it's starting to go. Possibly the MAF. Have you tried cleaning/swapping it? Could also be a tear between the MAF and turbo you may not use during a leak test.
