Undertray

I haven't found any newer posts about any undertrays or under panels. So, if any of you have an underpanel, could you answer a few questions?

Where did you get your undertray?

How does it fit?

How much did it cost you? (optional)

If anyone has any updated links to where I could find one, please reply. Thanks!

Buschur Racing sells one, There is a member selling one in the classifieds Brand New for like $150, probably cost you another 150 on top for shipping though.

Beatrush also makes one

Then there are the many that have DIY'd I may get around to making one myself one day. I'd want it out of AL I think. Buschurs are plastic but Im sure it is pretty light

You can always buy a new OEM POS one and the 100 popers to put it back on since I'm guessing your car currently does not have one.

Somebody has to give the OEM tray love I guess. The second time I pulled that thing it went straight to the alley.

The back half of the beatrush comes off with five fasteners which allows access to all fluids except the radiator drain. The three in the front are pie simple. The two in the rear are a pain, a fastener with a nut on top. Add some melting snow for real fun. There's any number of blind nuts that could be used here but once the job is done I forget about it.

You could always swap out some of the Beatrush fasteners with dzus quick release fasteners if you want.

I saw someone do that and I think thats what I plan on going for.

The bushur racing one is plastic and I dont know how I feel about it, how easy is that to put on/take off?

OEM is impossible to take off and I want something easier to take off. The dzus fasteners + the aluminum is going to be stronger than plastic and I would prefer to protect the bottom of the engine.

How easy is it to get to the front jacking point with the buschur?

What size dzus fasteners to get?

I bought the OEM one for my car, and won't fit due to the larger inter-cooler. Would need to hack it up quite a bit in order to make it work.

Will be getting the Bushur racing one in the near future.

I contacted buschur not too long ago regarding their rear diffuser and they said they're not having them made anymore. Not sure in regards to the front undertray.

I have a Beat Rush undertray on my IX-MR. I swear by using an undertray. They protect the lower engine area. Saving weight? Barely anything! Unless your car is an all out, full time race car, I say put/keep it on! They are also better aero vs. a car without a 'tray. My Beat Rush has the same air channeling as my MR had.

I plan on running one. I like the idea of having metal protecting my engine and that there is a port to get to the jacking point easily (for the beatrush). But if the buschur had a jacking port I might end up going with that.

You should compare the price on rhdjapan. I have found its often cheaper to buy parts through them and ship EMS than to buy in the US. Crazy I know.
