Sounds like you have boost leak issues. Check all hose connections: bypass valve, upper ic pipe, throttle body, egr vacuum lines behind intake manifold, vacuum hoses going to fpr, above the throttle body biss screw, etc.

I think I fixed my car guys. Leaking blow off valve clamps was the main issue replaced with new clamps and its boosting like normal Although I must admit having the blow off valve on a soft intake pipe is a not wise design decision. I have order an AEM intake kit so hopefully wont have that issue again.

also while driving my temp reading went through the roof. I though I had blown a head gasket but turns out it was a faulty thermostat!

thanks to my awesome mechanic Rod at step up auto. He has a beast of an Evo too

also thanks to everyone for helping. Ill post pictures of my Evo

FYI, when I first had my car it was down on power quite a bit. It ended up being the wastegate actuator.

Issue is back guys. I thought I had it fixed

I cant believe this!! we smoke tested the car and found the clamp holding the bov was leaking. Tightened it and the issue has come back! I have tried everything!

Does anyone live in QLD surfers paradise? I am willing to pay someone if they can pin point exactly what it is.

Ill summarize.

- Car runs fine when cold. Boost nice and engine sounds good.

- once I do 2 or 3 WOT pulls and the car warms up. It starts idling slightly rough and car feels like its lost all power

- turbo becomes sluggish and laggy once the car warms up and I need to plant my foot all the way to the floor for the turbo to boost.

- Car will boost ok up to 3000rpm and feels like boost falls off a cliff from 4000rpm onwards. Feels like a NA car.

I thought I had it fixed guys ((

Is your wastegate actuator stock? And was your car running ok when its cold?

My car is completely stock standard.

Check egr hoses behind the intake manifold. Shop i went to connected them backwards and it essentially became a boost leak.

Hey mate

I checked and couldnt find anything out of place.

the issue is getting worse. I am losing so much power once I hit boost and my throttle is laggy as hell!

it has to be a boost leak right? I checked the turbo and it seems to be in good condition.

I have ordered a silicon intake pipe just in case the stock intake pipe is leaking. I have also arranged a mechanic to delete the egr crap. I am running out of ideas

Do you have a boost leak tester? If so buy one or make one.

I had similar issues, turned out to be a shotty tune and a bad boost controller, also replacing the wastegate for extra added security never hurt along with the boost leak test, which should be the first thing you do. Hope this helps!
