Lightbulb EVO V Rebuild?

Good Morning from Canada.

Its been almost a year with the EVO being parked with a blown motor and it time to get her back on the road.

After searching for motors, anything here in Canada is about 2500$-3200$.

I though about rebuilding the motor.

Where do you guy order your rebuild kits?

Thank you.

I would say let English Racing get your evo back on the road. https://englishracing.net/

They are located down here in Washington state, but really are the go to spot for this part of the country. I do not know of any shop in the BC area I would trust with an evo.

If you need a hand with towing hit me up, I live in Port Angeles, WA, and have a truck and trailer.

If you are on a budget, John at http://www.rockymountainimports.net/ could source you a jdm engine, and likely help you (or refer you to someone) to install it. But I would still recommend a drive down to ER for a tune.

Thank you for the info.
Will be contacting ER for a rebuild kit.

Can you make a thread after you have it all built? I want to know your experience. I have an evo 6 from Vancouver BC and looking to build a stroker motor in the future. I was planning on buying a 2.3 BR kit and just doing it myself but have locals do some machining work. Let me know how it goes!

its probably going in the next 1-2 month.
Have you dealt with any shops in Vancouver for your evo?

I do all the work on my Evo by myself but when it comes to engine building I'm probably going to have some help when it comes to engine building. ER is a very good suggestion because I plan on getting them to tune the car when I have more of my mods on my car.

Another option (that is a little closer to you) is Drift Office. They do good work as well http://www.driftoffice.com/

That said, ER would still be my 1st recommendation. If you have ER to the build start to finish they will stand behind their work. If you have multiple people involved in the process it pretty much leaves you holding the bag if something goes wrong.
