Im always kinda tinkering with it, stock bottom end though. been at ~430hp/400tq since 80k miles (2010). Also hasn't seen a drop of gasoline since 2010 either. As things break or fail I replace them. Its kinda just a matter of keeping up with the decay and doing the maintenance. The car has been very reliable considering the amount of various modification. I jump on any strange noise or smell pretty much instantly. Its like a needle in my mind driving it until i can figure out what the issue is and fix it. The only thing thats really been beyond my ability to keep up is the paint, at some point though its gonna get a refresh.
^Prius lol! Never ever ever ever ever for me lmao!
I used to DD my evo and did so for about 9 years. As you can imagine its has its perks and downsides. I now have a truck that is my new DD and the evo sadly stays home and sleeps most of the time.
That being said my truck is quiet comfortable and easy. The evo was loud rode fineish even with crazy spring rates thanks to awesome dampers but was loud and loud. Honestly the worst part was that roads around here are terrible so I constantly looked like I was drunk as I'd swerve all over the place. Now I dont need to worry as much. But I do miss the adrenaline rush on the occasional on ramp.
Im not sure any of this will be able to help you in your decision. Theyre so different. I always knew i needed a truck in my life and makes so many things easier. But at the same time the evo stays. I vote you keep both bc its not my money, lol! Figure out what is most important to you and dont look back.

I daily drive a 5 speed 03 Lifted Jeep Wrangler, Slow as hell. The Evo only comes out to play once a month for a short trip.. My wife has a Fiat Abarth from time to time I will drive it and have some fun.
I DD mine for ~130k between 2004-2010. Since then it prob hasn't seen 3k total. LOL
Spent the last 7 years rewinding 130k miles back off the car (no not literally), much of it better then it was in 2004 now!!
