Question about Exedy clutch choice!

So I wanted to see your guys opinion. My comp stage 2 clutch finally said goodbye yesterday at the track. So I’m purchasing an exedy twin. I think the common one everyone goes with is the MM022HD. They make a MM022HR kit that holds a little more torque. It’s about $400 more and my tuner is recommending it. I just can not find any reviews on it anywhere.

The car is a 80% street / 20% strip car. Making 600ish wheel at the moment. 415ish ft lbs.

Any input on the MM022HR kit?

Again, I can’t find much. The only differences listed on exedy’s website says the cheaper mm022hd has a sprung center disc and the MM022HR has a rigid center disc.

I haven't owned either, so I'm not of too much help.

However, I did initially do some research when I changed clutches and I believe the general consensus was that the sprung disc was a better choice due to the rigid disc shaking itself apart. Though it has been a while, and that may just be some gibberish I picked up somewhere.

Is your tranny and transfer case built? If not, you'll probably want the sprung HD disks.

Your trans will thank you for sticking with a sprung disc. The unsprung disks beat of the synchro's when just cruising around on the streets due to all of the torsional whip going into the trans and not being dampened by a sprung disc.
