BOV ring?

BOV ring?
I have a tial BOV, and today I did a boost leak test..the BOV was leaking alot, when I opened it i noticed there is no ring inside like there is in my tial wastegate..is there supposed to be a ring or not? If you see the right picture of the ring thats what im talking about,my wastegate has that ring but the BOV doesn't. See the pics attached.
