EVO 8, aftermarket oil cooler help.

Hey!
I’ve bought an aftermarket oil cooler with filter relocation as well. I’m currently about to get it installed but I’m a little bit confused.

This is the kit I bought:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZVMQQMI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZVMQQMI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

The thing is, that I guess i have to buy some separate couplings for the AN pipes to get it attatched to the oil filter housing or am I wrong? Since I can’t figure out any other way. If so, what kind of adapter/couplings do I need?

The old OEM cooler had banjo bolts. But I can’t reuse em since the new system got AN couplings.

I guess it’s like M12 - AN10 (m12 is just an example it might be too small tho)

I’ll attach some pictures.
and if someone is willing to, I would appreciate any write up guide how to install it the correct way since I didn’t get any documents at all with the cooler.

Kind regards, Biro

Dont use that sandwich oil filter plate as our OFH already has provisions for the oil cooler lines. What you need is adapters, I think they are an m14x1.5 to -10AN but Im not positive as that is from memory. Youll need crush washers too for the adapter on the OFH side.

This is a really nice oil cooler kit: https://www.maperformance.com/produc...n-8-9-evo-ock#

Take a look at the fittings on the left side of the picture as those are the adapters im referring to.

Oh, alright! Then i skip the sandwich plate, and keep my filter at the regular OFH spot.
And i order a pair of (?)M14x1.5 to -10AN and some crush washers.

One more question, may you know the size of the two ports for oil temp/pressure on the OFH?
I would need to order adapters for those as well, (someting - 1/8" NPT for the sensors)

Please confirm the M14x1.5, Im sure the info is on here somewhere. You could also just confirm with your old lines and a bolt and or nut to be positive. As for the ports on the OFH for the oil temp/ pressure those are 3/8 BSPT. Not NPT but BSPT.

If you have to crack those plugs loose be sure to preheat with a torch to break up the red loctite and then they will come right off.

You need to return that kit and and leave the stock cooler on the car. I'll put money on it that the OEM cooler works better than a $140 kit made in who the **** knows where.

Well, I’ve already bought it (260USD) here in Sweden, and already mounted it as well. So I hope it works anyway And I can reuse the OEM cooler since I had a spun bearing and the guy at the shop told me it’s pretty much impossible to flush it all out of the cooler.
