Hi guys,

I recently replaced my shift cables in my 6speed jdm evolution 8. After I replaced the cables I went to test the gears to make sure they were all going in okay etc. but when I tried to roll out in first gear it felt as if I was trying to start in 3rd... all gears 2-6 go in fine, but even when I downshift going into 1st from 2nd gear, it feels like nothings there and the rpms don't come up.

any ideas as to what this could be?

there's a clip on the end of the cable that attaches to the gear stick that wasn't locked which caused it to not go into gear properly.
