Best street engine/turbo combo? 2.2L with 6266/6466?

Just like the title says, I’m building a fun 700-800whp street car. I know that a 2.3L would be optimal, but 2.2L seems the best for me all around. What turbo would you guys say for a wicked power band? Full spool say 4500-5k? Thoughts?

2.3L is far less than ideal.

2.2L is def what you want. I have one going on the dyno today. Will post results. But yes, a twin scroll 6466 will be lit before 5k on a 2.2L

Caveat- this was 40psi. The clutch slipped when we tried to turn it up more. We could have easily ran 44-45psi to see what was left but the clutch wasn't having it.

Great numbers and curve looks good. What clutch are you going with? I’m prob gonna do r2 cams over s3s.

You will not be disappointed with the R2 cams, I just switched from S3 to R2 and make a little more power and it spools faster , though I have a 2.3 which I don’t rev past 8k where S3’s will shine that’s why I went with the R2. Also feels better down low. Wish I would of went 2.2 liter.

Thanks! We lost about 3-400rpm of spool going to the Magnus and bigger cams. But the gains up top were very worth it.

As ctfp said, it depends on how high you're gonna rev it and what displacement you go with
