Not sure where this thread should go and I did a search looking for similar topics.

I took my Evo to a body shop I have taken a few cars before to get paint redone and some body work. I asked them if they were able to "reseal" the carbon fiber on the spoiler. Mainly focusing on the inside of the side pillars. They said they could paint over it, which is not what I want. I then took it to another shop and they quoted me nearly $250 for just resealing the side pieces. Then I looked into doing it myself. The only reason I do not feel comfortable in diy, is that I live in Washington and it is currently winter... My garage is not heated and I don't want to end up with specks of dust.

I'm basically asking if $250 is reasonable to reseal and clear coat the inside pieces of the spoiler.. or if I should continue to look around Seattle area for a better shop. Or should I attempt diy?

Thanks for the help.

Update I tried searching resurface carbon fiber instead of refinish and found some threads. Thanks
