06 MR Oil Temp Gauge Wiring

Anyone know the best alternative to hooking up the oil temp gauge? I swapped in a new evo 7 motor and didn't hook up the old drain plug.

Are you asking alternative spot to install the sensor?

In the oil pan will typically yield the best results.

I once did a line off the filter housing and it was no good, giant delay in temp reading. Ultimately tapped the pan.
