Hey guys, I recently bought a Evo 9 in New Zealand and it has some mods and a tune done to it. I’m trying to get my head around what’s actually been done and getting quite lost.
Firstly, the car is running on a Evo Link ECU.
From what I can see, the front O2 sensor’s has been replaced with a different sensor, I’m assuming it’s a wideband as it’s got 6pins which isn’t even connected to anything. The o2 plug on top of the engine plugged either. I’m assuming it’s tuned to run 24/7 open loop...?
On the Intake manifold I see there’s a MAP sensor which I’m pretty sure is a Evo X sensor, and next to it might be a IAT sensor? The MAF sensor is still connected to the intake as well so is this speed density setup or a maf setup?
Also, I believe the waste gate solenoid plug’s aren’t connected to anything either.
Can anyone try explain what might be going on here? The does car runs great.
I’ll provide pictures to make it clearer.
Overview Evo X MAP sensor? IAT sensor? Random plug from front where o2 sensor should be. Wideband? MAF still there, looks like wastegate solenoid plug is unplugged O2 sensor unplugged
