The tech at the dealer told us that if the car is tuned than they won't work on it because they do not want to be blame for if something go wrong with the car or mess up the ecu since it's not stock map.
that's all the tech told us.

yeah i got my 1st call/interview. when he called me he stated that my the data in my ecu was incorrect for my vehicle. could be ecu was tuned with forced data, he titled the follow up email with "ecu tampering". he said show proof of repairs from a validated source and if a i had the tool to show screen shots of return to original state and to send a screenshot of all monitors ready for obd2 scan. When all is place, he will schedule the next appointment. im not sure of going to the ref in Monterey or San Jose. i think San Jose has more
Evo experience. i went to the NHTSA page and theres no CAT/ECU recall for my 06. there is airbag recall for CA, cross member for other states not CA.

i see. the two guys that did the interview for me and my cousin told us that we need to get it done at a certified automotive repair shop that able to give them proof. They never told us we can do it ourself. If they give you that option than just do it yourself.
my evol came from Wisconsin that's why i get the cross member recall.
Hopefully you get a person that have more knowledge of evol 9 if not.
Another thing print/save these pictures and take it with you to the state referee in case they give you the crap like how our referee dude did to me.
Because on their computer/sources doesnt show them that the o2 sensor go on the catalytic converter on the evol 9.
Once they search on their computer/source it will show that the o2 sensor is behind the catalytic converter.
These pictures i got from the dealer. Bakersfield Mitsubishi dealer.
Also download the files up there post by minus. All of the infor about evol 9 emissions in there.

Is there any point with CA pushing for all electric cars?

CA wants to phase out sales for new gas-powered cars in 2035.

Mitsubishi won't be producing any Evo VIIIs or IXs in 2035, so it doesn't really make a difference.

Newsome wants to ban sales from 2035 on, not ICE cars in general. Rumor has it he's also wanting to get rid of gas pumps and stations so everyone will have to conform. Will it happen? Who knows. California is full of hippies that agree with the governor, so who knows? If he can get someone in office like him, to continue the dream, we could be in some trouble. I can't imagine the oil companies being okay with this, so I assume they will fight tooth and nail.
Should be interesting.
It's good to know I have 49 other states to go to, if needed
