Unhappy Leaving the evo outside

Hello everyone,

after a year of working on the Evo 8 in my garage she is finally done.
No more rusty parts, no damaged shell, ...
Now i have to sell the car as quickly as possible because road tax just came in, (1k+ in my country) and i don't have the money to pay it again, plus i need the money for my home renovations.
Since the garage it was stored in for the past 20 months is now my workshop and is full of motorcycles and my friends garage just got sold i need a solution.
If i can't get it sold for a decent price within 8 days i'll have no other choice then to put the car outside.
Since it's winter here and i got no protection for the car, it will be standing outside in the rain for atleast 8 months.
Does any of you guys have experience with this? Will the car rust to bits again?
Since in my country its humid for atleast a few more months.

Any advice welcome.

Rent a climate controlled garage if your worried surely you have storage garages.

If some sort of storage or cover is out of the question, treat the underbody with something to protect the metals from rust and corrosion.

^ agreed. You could try the product Fluid Film for the underbody.

I suggest addressing all the rubber i.e. weather seals and moldings, various exterior plastic trim pieces, and giving the paint a nice layer or wax or similar to give it some protection.

I like 303 Aerospace for my exterior plastics/trim/moldings. For weather seals I like silicone spray or 303. I usually just use the silicone spray on the door seals.
