Hey guys! I've been searching this topic and I get a lot of older threads. Not sure how much tuning and logging has changed the last few yrs but I would like to set myself up with all the cables I need. I want to be able to do some logging, especially since I will be getting an e-tune once I get my direction figured out and more mods done to the car. I also want to be able to get into tuning later and doing reflashing. I would imagine getting an e-tune from a tuner I will need to have all the proper cables anyway. I did see the diy thread for being able to log afr, so I will make the proper cable and adapter. I also want to be able to check out diagnostic on the car if there is a software that allows that.

I have read the tactrix 1.3u with and openport 2.0 with mitsu adapter. Are these the necessary cables currently to accomplish my needs or are there new ones or additional ones? Thank you!

 

evoscan 1.3u cable. (same as tatrix)

you will need a wideband that you can connect to the labtop and configure your evoscan software to read it.
if you get a aem uego, you will need to connect up a 9 pin connector to it and then use a 9pin to usb adapter.

 

Thank you. I already an aem uego in the car. So do away with openport 2.0? If so how come?

Have a tuner remotely setup your laptop. It will save you a ton of headaches, trying to get everything logging correctly

 

Thanks, I will keep that in mind. I'm not easily deterred, so we'll see how much headaches I end up with before I take that route lol.
