Hey guys.
Im a new owner of a JDM Evo 8 MR and I was wondering if ALL Evo 8 come with a carbon fiber wing.
Mine is the same colour as the car and I think maybe someone just painted it because of some reason. Just want to be sure before I try to find out on my own haha.

PS. I know that probably the same question exists somewhere but I couldnt find any clear answer.

Welcome. Heres a good thread that shows the difference. Both wings have a carbon horizontal element but the core on the 8 was filled w/poly-U foam. Ask me, i know. i snapped a 9 wing at the track under high wind load.

So, if all Evo 8 come with carbon horizontal element. Mine is most likely painted over which mean I have to somehow get the paint of that horizontal element or am I wrong?

 

You are correct. The clear coat on all Evo 8 wings that have seen sun have failed. Mine has paint.
