Fuel pump not priming, was priming before I replaced starter.

So I just finished up my rebuild with a new block.
got it all in, go to start it, to find out that my starter was dead.
the whole time I was trying to start it with a dead starter, I COULD hear the fuel pump priming with key on.
next day comes and I go get a new starter, put it on. And it was just clicking, traced that down to a ground issue that I fixed.
now the car cranks, but the pump isn't priming???
I'm going to test the relays, and see if it's getting power and go from there. But any other ideas would he greatly appreciated.

no I don't think so. As far as I know it's a walbro.
I'm gonna take the seat off and take a look. But I drove this thing for a year, before the engine issue. Never had any fuel problems.
Like I said it stopped priming after I put the new starter on?
I'm thinking maybe the disconnect ground from when it didn't crank popped a relay? But I still don't remember hearing it prime when the ground was disconnected.
lm also gonna disconnect the starter and see if I can re create the scenario where it primes.

im assuming its a stock pump hanger then....

id look at the wiring diagram... pull the fuel pump plug out and then check to see you got 12v when you crank it.

if you do.. its the pump
if you dont... its something with the relay.

so I looked into it more today.
Checked all the relays on the fuse box all good.
it is a hardwired pump. But the hardwire goes to the starter and there is no relay in the line. Just a 30 amp fuse. Theres also another hose that's shrieked wrapped and goes off and connects too a vacuum line?!?! What the hell??? Anyway, I was testing the wire near the pump and never got any power. I'm thinking it might be something with the junk hardwire set up.
I'm gonna order a DS works hard wire set up with a relay and just connect it to battery power and wire the rest up. Hopefully that fixes it..
