Hi Everyone !
I bought Old used Mitsubishi Lan Evo 8 MR last month , when i buying this car car was not starting at all
My Evo starts and Shuts off after 2 or 3 sec
I checked the fuel pump and its working fine , it has spark and working fine ..
When i turn the key on Fuel pump working and priming and after starts the engine ,Engine idle like 3 sec, then check engine light on then engine shuts cause of no fuel.
What would i do ???

Could be a number of issues but if its throwing a code (engine check light) pull the code from the OBD port & let us know what it is

 

I wanted a fake key I could use in the door lock. I had one cut at Ace Hardware. With the fake key in the ignition (I had to try it) the car starts and runs for about three seconds and then shuts off. So, maybe a problem with the security system.

 

When it does this is there a little green key symbol that flashes on dash? If yes, you have an immobilizer/security issue. Had similar happen when I swapped chassis and it ended up not being crank sensor and yes being immobilizer.
