S1 Cams

Hi guys I recently installed some S1 Cams in my Evo 6 and I haven't noticed any difference in idle. The car is basically stock with an Evo 6 Ecu (untuned) and an aftermarket manifold and gt30 turbo. Will tuning the car have any effects on the idle to get the more lumpy beat. Thanks.

When I installed S1 cams in my 8 the idle got noticeably rougher with the air conditioner off. Turning on the A/C however bumped up the idle and smoothed it out.

S1 is mild at idle but a tuner can give you a lopier idle if that's what you're after.

On my VIII going from stock to the S1 changed the idle noticeably. As others said you really want the lope it can be tuned in

Mine idles mostly stock, which I really like. I used to notice a few quirky issues here and there, but it's been so long that I don't any more.
I like how it idles like any other car but still clicks off lap times that put expensive cars to shame.

I've got S2s and they idle as smooth as butter.

I have S2/S3 setup, the idle is choppy, a burden to deal with and the exhaust produces too much HC’s. The power is nice though, but at a cost.

MIVEC smooths out all the cams. R2's are only slightly rough in my car.

S1's generally don't idle very rough with proper ignition timing and AFR at idle.
