I went to get my 2006 Evolution IX Smog'd today. I passed every year. Only mod from the last Smog was an ECU tune. I flashed back to stock before the test, drove around for a bit. No CEL.

When I went to the station, same guy I've always used, the pre-test showed my CAT as red and he wouldn't test me because I would fail.

Any advice? I ran EvoScan and reflashed back to stock a few times. No Check Engine Lights showing.

I don't drive the car much anymore, 67k miles. I am gonna try driving more and check my readiness. Hoping that's all I need.

 

Almost a month late but hopefully you figured out the readiness monitors need to be completed prior to a smog check. I use Dash Command on an iPhone to check my monitors.
