So the other day I went bowling, the car started fine was driving fine, and had no issues. Once it was time to go my car just wouldn't start. The battery wasn't dead lights worked, the radio worked, and we checked the amps. We tried hitting the starter to see if that would work, but that didn't. Then I was left with two options get the car towed by AAA or try cutting the serpentine belt to see if that would start it. We opted for the belt and it started. I got it home and now she's just sitting there while I'm confused about what went wrong. If anyone knows what needs to be replaced or knows what it is please lmk. I'm assuming it's something on the accessory belt I just don't know exactly what it would be.

 

Seized a/c compressor? Try and rotate any of the pulleys that belt runs on-should tell you what you need to know.

 

Just checked that pulley. It's definitely seized. I think I got confused when I was looking from the engine because I tried moving a pulley up there, and got it confused with the crankshaft pulley once I went under. Thank you.
