How to pull milage from unplugged gauge cluster
How to pull milage from unplugged gauge cluster
While my car is down for a full rebuild I got a different gauge cluster to put in it. Unfortunately I don't know the milage. Is there a way to check the milage without installing it in a car that can power it? This is on an evo 8.
It looks like You need Switched Ignition on Pin 9, Battery Constant on Pin 7, and ground on Pin 1, 2 of connector C-01. If you aren't familiar with reading these mitsubishi diagrams then there is a section in the beginning of the electrical part of the factory service manual that explains how to read them. I would still verify everything before trying to apply any power to the cluster. Check that the wire colors of the specific position on the connector match what you think they should be. It's easy to get the connector positions backwards and you don't want to reverse power the cluster and fry it.
