Get props, thumbs-ups and buy-offers ALL the time... last offer, all-in-cash, no questions asked was for $55K, and I had not even started bargaining... So price is anywhere between $60k and $80k...
NOT FOT SALE...
When I had mine up for sale $55K was the least I'd consider for it. Got close but not close enough. Yours is nice enough to demand $60K+...it's not like they're making new ones. What did you use to shine the engine bay?
If you have it in pristine condition (inside/out), not exposed to winter corrosion, always garaged, and (most importantly) engine NEVER opened and lower-miles, then YES !!

Not much, just an old shirt I use as drying / cleaning "rag", lightly wet.
The key there is that I always kept the engine bay clean, and (after use) and parking in garage, never let the engine heat "soak" in the bay (always opened the hood and let the heat radiate upwards quickly, so the plastics, hoses, and cheaper materiales would not degrade that much...)

If not, forget it! 😉
No way. We're setting our own prices. I'm saying $70k

I was offered $90k (cad) for my evo 9 gsr about a year ago while selling another car. Its only 32k miles but pretty heavily modified but it had all the parts he wanted. I rejected it. It's simply not even close to enough money and the car has more value in it as a paper weight as time goes on value will only increase.
In the process of making it less stock. But original owner 2006 RS. Bilstein PSS B14 going on and new exhaust / cat / intake / infinite Evo Oil pan, cosworth crank scraper, Ralliart strut hats and sway bar bushings. Ect.
Some groundwork for upcoming 20-year full inspection and "re-certification": cleaning under carriage to remove any hidden gunk, dirt and debris, and fully expose frame. EVERYTHING will be thoroughly inspected: original anti-corrosion treatment, seals, gaskets, grommets, support beams, frame structural integrity, joint boots, bushings, you name it:
Labor to be performed at Gunther Volkswagen / Mitsubishi. I know the crew there working on EVOs, and they are already salivating waiting for this Ocho's inspection... it will be fun! 😉

Some of us do this every time we're working on the car or before a track day. I don't know that I would call it fun.
Because there are very, very few EVOs out there that have never been tracked. That's why! ;-)
UPDATE: got an offer today for $70K, cash. I do wonder when the "buying" interest will recede... because it will at some point...
Yeah, that doesn't make it fun for me.
If the $70k offer was real, I would have taken it before they could finish the sentence. LOL
FYI: For the last 2-3 years, I have been "interviewing" people that have sold evo 8 and 9s. If you knew what the cars were actually selling for as opposed to what they're asking prices were, you may be surprised. There is a reason I'm only asking $27k for my IX.
Take that info as you will.
$70k is way, way more than they got. Way.
Just bought a 61k mile MR 2006 from original owner. Immaculate and stock.Garaged, and dealer serviced (i know that doesnt much as bad as some dealers are)!

Quite real !! FYI, there is NOT a day that goes by that I get buying offers... of all kinds, but what is really interesting is how EVERYONE I met seem to place the car in much higher regard when the learn engine is stock, lower mileage, full maintenance records, never tracked, etc. It is funny to see their faces (all of them) in utter, complete disbelief. It is a HUGE factor in valuation, to the point that they ALL have told me they would NEVER modify it beyond its current form, if they had the chance to own it. Most of these folks happen to be more adult, and good connoisseurs of sports compact-car arena.
So the bottom line is that when you have something that you know is really special (and people too), you keep it, and take good care of it. Money follows, then... 😉💪
