Low compression cylinder 3
I have an 1996 Evo IV. Recently my water temp gauge was fluctuating so figured new thermostat. I took the Evo to a shop and asked them to run a compression check and…

#2 160psi
#3 111psi
#4 165psi
and yes the thermostat was stuck open. So my question is what do you guys recommend to repair this? Do I have to do a full rebuild? Is this just head gasket failure from the thermostat? The Evo is only has intake, exhaust and downpipe.
