Sorry for starting new thread for it but is there any benefit of running 2 wasegates setup on single scroll turbo? I have seen people done that. Is this to control boost better? I will run xona rotor turbo soon and they are only single scroll turbos but some people run 2 wasegates with them. If there is nothing to gain I would like to stick with simple 1 wasegate combination Thanks!

 

Better boost control. Most modern turbos, the aero is very good and a single 44mm gate will boost creep. Having dual 38's helps lessen or sometimes eliminate boost creep, it depends on the turbo.

 

Ok. What wasegate would be the best to run with xona 10569 turbo. 2x 38mm wasegates? Will 1 wasegate do the job or it is waste of time? My current setup has 1x 38mm wasegate with 6266 turbo. I was running it up to 46psi boost with not a singe problem but xona will be much bigger turbo and not sure if I should do 2 wasegates. thanks

 

Dual gates help you better control boost. IE- run lower boost when you want. I always recommend at least 2 38mm gates. They usually can be sprung to keep wastegate line under 30psi, and then boost can be turned up from there. This way you can actually have real boost by gear instead of always having boost creep to the moon regardless.
