Track and battery

I put a full-size battery in the trunk. I want to go to the 1/4 track. I ask them and they said this. Is there a way around this? Has anyone had an issue with this?

My friend, that is a plastic box full of acid. In the event of a high speed crash you will want something protecting you from it.

I have a battery box to put the battery in. But what about the shut-off switches? I see plenty of evos at the track with batteries in the trunk and never saw a shut off switch or labels on the car.

its the triangle decal with the lightning bolt that is commonly used to mark the battery/switch location (you could probably put this sticker on a magnetic sheet)

Thanks for the replies. Back story, I bought this car and it had a small race battery under the hood and it was always dead. I bought a rear-mount battery kit that uses an evo x distribution block in the engine.

So that's where I'm out now. I do have a battery box that ill installs this weekend. Does any have a picture of the box in the trunk with a kill switch? Where do I mount the switch? In the box or do I drill holes and run the positive cable out side the box? Is there a rule on what kind of switch I can run? And no I do not have a fuse in the trunk. What amp should it be? Will that also be on the positive cable? And where can I find a magnet for the sticker?

my battery switches are still in the front side

I have a backup battery instead of a relocated fullsize battery (not for racing). I used a HF ammo box. I 3d printed one for my PC680 which looks cool but I dont have a pic right now. plus I need a powersport battery that matches the one in the engine bay for just in case

fun fact is that evo X does have a battery in the trunk, right behind the rear seats but no firewall whatsoever..
