Oil pressure drop after oil cooler delete plugs

Question, I had my oil cooler deleted and the line looped, yesterday I removed the loop and used block off plugs. Right after that my max oil pressure went from 100 psi to 80 psi. My oil pressure at idle dropped as well from 35 psi to 25 psi. Has anyone experienced this? I’m wondering if this has something to do with the thermostat now.

I removed the thermostat and have full oil pressure again. Weird though how David buschur and other big names agree you can just block the ports, and keep the thermostat in there with no problems. To be fair the 10 psi per 1000 rpm is rule of thumb for oil pressure, and after blocking the ports there’s still enough oil pressure to run to 8000rpm. My friend has 9000 kms on his motor with block off plugs with zero problems so far.
