Readiness issue

So last year I got tuned, tuner loaded up the tephra patch etc and got to work, went and inspected my car about a week later and all was fine...unhooked the battery for the winter, battery didnt make it so I replaced it and went to go put some miles on it before inspecting it again...only 3 monitors will turn on, misfire, fuel system and comprehensive component..I did multiple on/off cycles, filled up some gas, drove on the highway and stop and go for about 140 miles now...no CEL's are being triggered

I got the car inspected after it was tuned because I went to speed density, bigger injectors and put cams in over the winter and I didnt even attempt to drive the car until I had the tuning session..

Am I missing something silly? I assume the o2 wasn't turned off because I passed last year, how can I check to make sure it wasnt disabled?

Cat, heated cat, evap, air, o2s, hrt, egr

Im almost positive last year it passed and everything readied up last year on this tune, like is there something silly that could've happened when I replaced the battery? It feels like nothing else is readying because the o2 is turned off and nothing else will come on since theyre further down the line.

Im about 135 miles now, multiple starts...I dont remember it ever taking more than a ride on the highway.

Your readiness settings could have been modified. When I did my 9 I had to play with the tephra settings to get it right. Just make sure the only monitors ready are the original ones. If you have other things showing green, it will throw a flag.

Well whats weird is...I know for sure that I got inspected after the initial tune because over the winter I installed cams, 71hta turbo, injectors, converted to speed density and didnt try and drive the car until the tune and then I did the inspection after that so idk how something couldve changed...I just feel at 130 miles everything especially the cat stuff shouldve went on so it sounds like it was turned off but somehow it mustve worked last time.

Not every tuner will just change fuel injection and ignition settings. There are so many other things that can be messed with.

what state are you getting inspected in?

if you reflashed your ecu between the last time you passed inspection and the time you failed its definitely possible something in the tune changed

What’s weird is I’m almost positive this was the tune I passed without any issues last year, could something like a dying front o2 sensor be making it not ready up but not throwing a check engine light?

I definitely had all the monitors ready last year, I took it to a random shop and it’s not like they could pass it if the monitors weren’t online and/or there was a cel

Gonna order a front o2 since they’re cheap..

Its not your tune or anything to do with that NY state change something with the new inspection machine with the new stickers they can see now if they car is tuned my car wont pass inspection either and I had the car since 2016. NY inspection machine see something that let the machine not passed through with the emission part of the inspection it just gives a error message.

Idk my other two tuned cars passed, but this is different because I have the scanner on it and the readiness monitors arent showing up ...whats throwing me off is the car passed with this tune last year, I replaced the front o2 today and so far it isnt changing anything...I guess the next step is to hook up the laptop and see if anything is disabled but I cant imagine it because it definitely was tuned last year when I inspected it.

yeah check your ROM to see if the readiness is enabled. also there are videos on youtube to properly trigger the readiness. there was a guy in this forum(maybe a year ago) that tried it and it work for him immediately. I believe it has steps like engine braking from 65 to 35mph (dont touch anything) a few times
