I am looking at getting a portable lift for my garage and had my eye on the QuickJack 7000TL. This lift can raise our cars by 24" from the pinch welds. Does anyone know if that is high enough to clear removing the engine, or the transmission separately? I suspect I will need a dolly or transmission jack under the car as well so that adds to the height requirements. I don't want to buy a lift that isn't tall enough to eventually do that job but I don't have that tall of ceilings either.
