Resonators

Hey all,

So in an effort to make my car as quiet as it can be, ironically, I think the tanabe/revel medallion touring is too loud. I have been advised that the vibrant ultra quiet resonator is probably the best solution; however, I was trying to see if I could run two of them. I'm not sure if two would fit and can't really easily get under the car currently either.

Here's what I'm looking at

For backstory, I currently have the tanabe medallion touring paired with my STM test pipe (catted).

TIA!

aha you missed the F&F days. yes test pipe replaces the cat converter. normal cats I think are 400 cells (tightly packed), race cat is probably 100 cell.

see the removeable cap. i have this on mine and I cap it since I live in a HOA community and I need music
I see apexi sells them separately

tje stm is a 300 cell GESI, do you think the extra 100 cells will make a difference?

yes, but most of it really relies on effective diameter of the end pipe. i have 100cell and the silencer tip makes all the difference. obviously I cant accelerate fast with the silencer but my car with stiff springs is not a great street racer anyway

got it... yeah I got this car to replace my FK8, since I have a high hp rs3, trying to get this thing as quiet as I can LOL. I saw someone recommend this exhaust which has a valve, it is quite intriguing, paired with a res, I can only imagine it being even quieter: https://xforceusa.com/products/vmk2g...BoCHH0QAvD_BwE

that may work too but maybe check the reliability. you got heat, vibration and lots of moisture. chinese remote solutions, no thanks.
my catback is less than $200 new so I'm not an expert on this stuff

Get 2 ultra quiet resonators and sound deaden your entire car. It make a huge a difference in sound. If you want it ultra quiet you best bet is to sound deaden EVERYTHING!

the interior alone did pretty well but It added close to 100lbs to my car
