I was able to get enough information about you from this site to know you might have a collection that is worth more than your business revenue in a year. Its crazy the times we are living in.
I mean times got crazy when a Pokémon card can sell for 200k so evos rising and collector condition ones selling above 150k isn’t at all surprising at all. I suspect we are just seeing the beginning of evo 8/9s on the rise. If he does have an rs with miles that low. It would be a silly time to sell. Hold onto it and have your mind blown how much it can get in just another 2-3 years. I also expect the gap between a $161k evo and a $40k evo to get a lot tighter. This recent sale will forsure change things in the evo pricing world whether it’s an rs or a gsr too.

Funny all those members that laughed at my future pricing predictions for evo 8/9s are silent now on this forum. Where are they?! Where are you guys? lol

The one that just got posted on BaT will be a great judge of scale. Of course any sub 1k mile car, especially sub 500 and original owner / for sale by og owner NOT DEALER makes a huge +30% difference alone I think. Time to see what a straight low mile stock car pulls. IX MR w/appearance pkg

I could have bought that car from the original owner back in the summer. It was listed here. I wish I did...

It’s already bid to 40k on first day. This is going to go for money as well.

I still can’t understand how people bashed on evolutions in the good old days; now they are gems lol

Its because the people that bashed them didn’t truly appreciate them, or even understand them. Even most of the owners back then just saw them as an affordable alternative (econobox lol stupid term) pretty cool family sedan they can keep up with Porsches in..sad but true. Those guys are getting older and out now and in their minds moving onto bigger better toys. Luckily. Good riddance you won’t be missed.

These cars are now falling into the hands of guys that dreamt about them as teens, thought they were the most intimidating baddest looking thing on the road and would rather own one than a McLaren. They entering a whole new buyers pool of people who will finally give them the appreciation they deserve.

I have no idea how people come to that conclusion (**** econ box)

Now a days I just believe that very few can make their own opinions/conclusions without listening to the noise out there.

What would be interesting to see is modded evolutions selling for big money. Drag or circuit prepped.

but your right, this is going to raise the price moving forward. I guess the influx of dreamers helps inflate that price.

I agree. I just know/knew the reality of where pricing was going for these cars. They check certain boxes of the golden era tuner car that are highly desirable. As was the same with other certain cars it happened to. Naturally this will proportionally raise prices for all evo 8/9s in the coming months-years. Modified or not. All it means is there is an obvious change in buyers here.

Coincidentally in my area back in the day when these where still relatively new the guys that had something to say (they where pretty clueless wannabe car guys back then anyways) where the 335i, 328i, Audi A4 / S4, any of the mid luxury sport sedan brand drivers always thought , because of the badge on the steering wheel (keep in mind this is 2006,7,8,9,10) , they had a better car.

Fast forward to 2024 and a 100k mile 335i / s4 / etc. of that era is worthless, and a stock 100k mile evo still pulls 25-30k + .....the lower the mileage the more drastic the price difference

I saw your ad on the Facebook groups. I would like to know what the final sale price is. This might motivate me to take care of mine lol.
