As title says, the one rear side of my car is noticably lower than the other side. Approx 1,5 cm (0,6inch). And is even making wear marks to my tire because my fender is touching the tire in corners and such.
I have tried changing suspension, but have the same problem with oem bilstein as i am with the öhlins r&t which im on now.
I cant see any bent parts. I have also tried cross measuring to see if anything is bent. With no luck so far.
Had my car to get alignment today, but they could not get the rear right because of this.
Does anyone have suggestions on what i should check/try? I got my own 2 post lift.
If you don't get closer than that on OE suspension or with the ohlins adjusting ride height, there has to be something bent/broke. I have no idea what but there has to be something.
Hopefully someone else with better info will chime in for you.
I have noticed now. After having my car on the lift for some days, and then putting it down, the car seems the correct level on both sides. Altough after driving with it the one side sits lower again...
Take the low side shock off. Mark or measure settings, remove spring and hat. Shock should extend to its full length. If compressed the shock should extend its self back to full length. This is due to imbalance caused by the gas pressure and the area difference on the shaft side of the piston shaft assembly.
If it doesn't self extend the gas seal has failed and the nitrogen has leaked out.
This will reduce ride height due to a reduced spring rate without the gas.
If shock acts right shim or adjust low shock to level fender height from floor or tire gap.
