That wouldnt' be a tuners test now would it.. That would be a production car test or NASCAR or Formula1. Someting that has undergone thousands of hours of durability testing...

I know, I go on later to say that I meant at the time attack later on in the month. I got my dates mixed up.

It wasn't "Buschur's mechanic", it was Robi and his buddy up in the Cali high desert trying to do their first EVO clutch swap and doing it with a twin disc clutch at that the night before the event and running out of time.

That artical was crap. Getting the top tuners together was a great idea, and I'm sure a huge undertaking, but it looks like the SCC had to bend way to far to get these guys to come. There was almost no comparisons in the article. They couldn't even put 1/4 mile, lateral accel, track times side by side. It seems the only way the tuners would show is if nobody's feeling got hurt.

That's why they are SCC not, R&T, or C&D. When more reputable magazines put tuner cars together it's the plain facts, no panzying around geeks who can't handle the fact their "perfect theories and computers told them so" stuff didn't fly..

The best time to get to the facts is in their big challenge ( Ultimate Street Car Challenge) with regular joes showing up.. They don't advertise so.....

BTW, our 1/4 mile ET was a typo. It should be 12.2 sec (not 12.7 sec) as stated in the text.
