I don't think that car has ACD though, at least I think it doesn't.

Ya it didnt have acd, my issue has a imperfection in the picture and made it look like it did

The Sparco EVO does NOT have ACD.....there is no ACD button or ACD for that matter in the car. It is a standard US spec Lancer Evolution (with TONS of grip and horsepower... ) However, the Sparco BEAST is completely different now, as it gets ready for the Sport Compact Car "Ultimate Street Car Challenge" (aka "SCC USCC"). Pictures of the new look and new performance mods will be posted later this week....stay tuned.

 

You better get that thing hopped up Scott cuz we're trying to get our One Lap car in the competition as well. We're on the waitlist right now

The more the merrier, I say. I'm hoping that the Skyline breaks this week and you actually do get in, as I would like a good test between A'pexi, Buschur, and Vishnu. Robi is going to bring a monster, and rumor has it that we just might have some more horsepower as well, so it would be a good test with the three Evos.

Oh, and by the way, I did read about you getting into the Car and Driver Shootout. Congratulations, as that test will surely give the EVO owners and Vishnu a chance to compete heads up with the big boys (with big displacement). Good luck....but that rolling aerodynamic brick is going to be a tough one in the high speed acceleration test. The 0-60 and 1/4 times are going to shock the other competitors and readers of Car and Driver. You need to take a picture of Hennessey's face when the EVO lays the smackdown on his Viper in the 1/4.

 

uhh...i thought the hennesey viper ran in the 10's. good luck with that...

 

uhh, my bad. You are very correct. Holy sh....t!! Those Vipers are quick. One of the sales guys in our office forwarded this link to Hennessey's site that has a bunch of videos of their customer cars in the 1/4mi.

hey sparco, can you tell me approximately how much $$ you spent on your car for the SCC shootout? you guys did it up right.

 

Thanks for the help the other day regarding wheel selection. We called up James and got the ball rolling. We certainly needed to up the ante a bit for the C&D shootout

Hah! Looking at the pics of your One Lap Car ... you guys have some serious cleaning up and detailing to do if you wanna win anything other than performance points in the USCC.

USCC should include a test where two or more people have to live in the car for week.

Maybe then test the ecosystem of the rolling terrarium for fartinitis pollution levels.

 

SCC's USCC is in two weeks. The cars are already set. For EVOs it is Scott's Sparco EVO and Robi's RRE/Buschur EVO. For other cars, it is a Skyline, Supra, STi, some Beck Spyder thingy with a Hayabusa motor, MR2 turbo, RX-7 and a turbo NOS GEO Metro.
