i think the top speed of the evo will be something around 150mp/h..at least thats what i've heard

 

Top speed according to the May 2002 issue of Automobile magazine is 158 Mph (253 Kmh) for the Euro spec Evo VII.

All street legal vehicles in Japan are speed limited (by LAW) to 183kph, or roughly 113mph. That's why the top speed was listed as 180kph. An unrestricted Evo Vll will top out at about 160mph in stock form.

 

Is that 160 mph redline limited or is that the fastest that a STOCK evo vii can go or both.

 

Here are some verified max speeds for you:

Euro Lancer Evo VII RS Sprint (320hp) - 152 mph on the freeway, was timed by the police in the UK as the car had been stolen!

Euro Lancer Evo VII FQ-300 (305hp) - 157mph limted.

Euro Lancer EVO VII Extreme (339hp) - 159mph by Autocar 8/01.

On the standard Euro Lancer Evo VII GSR I have seen from 150mph to 153mph from different motoring mags.
