Nine years later.

Glad to hear.

try this call whoever has your keys 300 miles away, while there on the phone have them click the unlock button, while you place your cell phone near the car, it worked once for me but this was awhile back. not sure if it will work again, unless I was to close to the car when testing lol

what a load of bull ****. So the microphone on buddies cell phone was able to pick up the frequency of the fob, the cell phone network processed this signal, and then your phones speaker was able to retransmit it for your car to receive?

There are so, so many things that make that technically impossible.

Considering that the person with their keys 300 miles away that he is trying to help already got into their car NINE YEARS AGO, I would say his reading comprehension is the biggest obstacle.

No, it isn't.

Different frequencies, cell phones are no longer analog, keyless codes are encrypted signals, just about every possible angle makes this impossible.

The argument for this reminds me of this classic:

HAHAHA, damn. Didn't realize that this thread was back from 04. Google took me way back on this one; was just looking for any alternatives before smashing my glass in. My bad lol.
