Congrats !!!! Mine is veryclose to completion, the wait is hard but well worth it.

Why did you buy the 7 if you currently have a TME ? Just curious.

Actually it's my anme from a while back, when I was almsot going to buy a hybrid-mirage/evolution TME car.... but I felt ti wasn't worth it. So i just waited and waited, this is ironically going to be the same wait as when i waited for my my old Yellow Type R.....ahh big story behind that..... but 10-12 isn't that bad for me!!!.... I'm tooo f'n happy!

I figured if you need to buy somethign for your car, I think I find some sh for you though.... I'm wondering.... what is going to be first thing you do to your car?....I'm thinking maybe jsut leaving.... maybe de-badging!.... but dunno... being a sleeper would be kidna funny..... but if were to chose.....prob. save up fer something like the whole exhaust setup, turbo mani, and deffinately change the conrod bolts!

I take it you paid over 39k? It says your a professional rally driver in your profile....so you aren't buying a street legal Evo VII? Sounds like you'll be ready to get your VII about the time everyone else will be getting their VIII... I'd like to see a test between a street legal imported VII (stock) against the Evo VIII we get...IF the VIII comes over spec'd like it should.

I paid what was reasonable. I'm hoping just to keep it stock for a long time, maybe it mgiht be worth some money later on.....since there are what, only like 45-60 in the U.S. for Rs-II's
....But who knows, i said that w/ my old Type R....

I think imported Evo's,if anything, will become less valuable once we have the VIII here. Not many people will pay MORE for a used older VII when their won't be a great deal of difference. Just my opinion though. So I take it you really aren't professional racer?
Why so secretive on the price ...didn't get a very good deal? I guess it was similar to the others 36+ though...how did you finance it?

Garanteed it will be watered down. And yes this is coming from someone who purchased an imported Evo 7. But guess what, I wouldn't have imported a 7 if I didn't think the US version would be watered down.

Hmmm..I guess the two of you have an "inside" contact. IF and I say IF the Evo VIII comes with 270+hp, 6-speed, Brembos, etc. (like I am told it will) I just hope you aren't disappointed in your investment of an '02 Evo VII. I don't think Wrc4ever can go wrong either way though considering he paid 30k for his VII. I'm talking to the others that paid up to 40k. If it is watered down many people will simply look elsewhere...no big deal. No way am I paying 30k for a watered down Mitsubishi. And no way am I paying 40k for a Mitsubishi Evo VII...
