Guys !! ITS A 4 BANGER !! 2.0L 4 Cylinder car ! It isnt a V8 or even a V6 that at idle will have enuff horses to spin ur house cooling. The AC is a strain on any engine.. especially 4 Cylinders. Without the turbo spooled up and pumping your engine, your generating as much power as a reg lancer, mebbe a lil more. So if u run ur AC below 4k rpm it will affect ur power delivery.

I know my V6 Accord performs much better than my Evo in the heat. It's over 100 degrees here and the Accord pulls strong with the auto climate control on and a full load of people. You cannot tell a difference with the v6, but the 2.0 liter is much weaker down low with the A/C and forget having more than yourself in the car.

I drive my Evo at night only during the summer since I refuse to use the A/C. It's too hot here in Vegas during the daytime. Most people store their car for the winter. For me, it's opposite. The mild winters here are perfect turbo weather and no snow.

No car runs good with the A/C on...I have noticed power loss in V8's and V10's...heat is a power killer too! I hate when people say just forced induction cars run like crap in the heat...EVERY CAR RUNS LIKE CRAP IN THE HEAT!!!

My car makes the same rattle and feels like TOTAL crap in hot weather with the AC on also. You basically have to floor it from low rpms to even get the thing moving from a stop.

The rattling noise you hear is actually the gear box chattering. Push in the clutch while you are stopped somewhere and idling and the sound will go away.....well, unit you let it back out

Damn this is so true. I didnt wanna post anythiung about this - i might sound like a noob. But damn it pisses me off that I have to sit in the heat when I wanna get some speed. It sux. Do you guys think if we get some lightweight pully's....that may help?

Mine was blowing only cool, not cold air, turns out I had a leak, they fixed it under warranty and now it's quieter too.

My car also makes a rattle noise. Sounds like metal hitting metal. I took it in for service several weeks ago and they said the air comp. needed replaced. The car still makes the noise. I found out yesterday when I apply pressure to the steering wheel the noise stops.
