sigh.... only 1700 miles on my baby, and on my drive up to the bay area after finishing school at UCLA, something huge flew from underneath the car in front of me..... my front tires dodged it but my rear tire ATE it! Pulled over at the next exit into a parking lot only to find my rear right tire flat. This is of course when I realized that I left my wheel lock key up north at school.
Here's where I ran into a little luck. The parking lot I pulled into happened to be for a tire center. Even luckier and remarkable, they had 3 A046's in stock..... I got the guy to match tire rack's price for the tire but that with an alignment is going to run me close to 400 bucks including the alignment, new advan, install, and the charge to break my wheel lock....... man I knew this car was going to cost me more for maintenence, but little did I know my luck was going to cost me even more!!!

 

Looks like you had both good and bad luck. Well at least they had the advans... of course... maybe they saw you coming...... Sorry to hear about the road debris though, that does suck.

I once ran over a muffler that fell off the car in front of me on the freeway in my old 300ZX turbo.

It punctured one of my rear tires as well.

 

yeah phew.... just found out my rim is ok.... haha i just realized that i titled the thread "dang advans" I'm guessing its because this was right after I found out the cost!

 

dude, maybe it was a setup. that thing you ran over was put there by the tire place........conspiracy i tell you....

think about it, the tire place around where i live doesn't even have anything close to the tire size the Evo have, forget about even having Advans.....
