Electronic Boost Gauge vs. Manual Boost Gauge

Now with my manual boost gauge, i am still having the boost taper in different gears. In 2nd and 3rd it hits 19.5 then tapers to around 17psi, in 4th gear i get a low number around 17 at full boost, and in 5th gear it holds at 19.5 where i set it.

Will an electronic boost gauge eliminate these changing numbers and hold everything steady?

Thanks

an EBC would maybe fix it if extensively tuned by someone who knew there crap, but boost almost always tapers...good luck man!

The car tapers from the factory. An ECU reflash, or a manual boost controller, or an electronic boost controller can remove it (the taper). The gauge has nothing to do with it (unless, of course, you have a leak there too).

So everyone has one constant steady PSI rate. Cause i have the MBC and i definitley still taper like 1-3 psi. Would a slight hissing noise possibly the BOV be the cause..?

I have the Power Enterprise boost controller/gauge. It has worked VERY well - really easy to adjust, easy to set the warnings, etc. A lot like a Defi gauge with a built-in EBC. Not cheap, but it works well and serves 2 purposes at once.

You people are on crack if you think that stock turbo will hold a constant 19+ psi of boost.
