Engine bay getting too hot??
Things you might consider to improve cooling and reduce the effects of heat:
-Water wetter (raises boiling point of coolant, less bubbles, more coolant-to-metal contact and better heat transfer to/from coolant)
-A Low temp thermostat (opens at a lower temperature)
-Better radiator (disspates more heat)
-Heat resistant coatings/wraps on exhaust, turbo, intercooler piping, etc. (keeps the hot side hot & the cool side cool).
-Bigger intercooler (reduce temps of air being shoved into your engine)
-Oil catch can (keeps your intercooler from being coated with oil, reducing its efficiency)
-Toggle switch for cooling fans (Wire this as an "OR" gate, meaning the fans will come on when the COMPUTER thinks they are supposed to, or your toggle switch is activated)

you probraly just being paranoid, after I slip the clutch and redline it, I thought the engine was lauder than before, and more hotter, and also I thought the engine was blown the day after I drove it, but end up it was small sound only when you turn on the AC. However since you car does have over 10k miles on it, I suggest you take to the dealership make sure everything are setup properly. Good luck

Heat is a HUGEissue with these cars. I totally trashed two 4g63 top ends because I let the heat gague get past 1/2 way. Not to "H", just half way. Anyone have the link to the engine cooling thread? I know a mechanic that hates turbo applications because you have to monitor them like a NASA schientist for heat. The margin of error with these cars is about 0, you name the system: fuel, cooling........turbos make things dangerous
