EVO VIII Security features?

What are our security features? I'm a little worried my car will get stolen. I will be getting LoJack installed this saturday from the dealership for $595. I have an 04 EVO 8. I currently just park it behind my dad's tahoe and put my club and autolock on and sleep in the living room with my gun. I'd like to get a good night's sleep these days, so if anyone can chime in, I would appreciate it

just a car man, theres more to life... plus thats what insurance is for.. I don't even worry, nor do I car... its fully insured. They would be doing me a favor, the car is worth more then what I paid for it...

not to mention that if your evo gets jacked you can always get a new one... its not like they've stopped making them... if you want to be truly paranoid buy a type-r... you have nothing to worry about with an evo... i haven't even heard of one being stolen... just a missing wing and some keying so far(correct me if i'm wrong here someone) -rob

The club get easily be sawed off.

And lojack isnt that great. They dont cover in many cities and well when you call lojack your car probably be stripped before you locate it.

I'm sure insurance will only give you what it is currently worth. Not the full retail price.

The Lojack works well here in Socal; that and decent alarm and your good to go. My insurance wont cover the extras unless I tell them about the upgrade so it can be added (and they can charge me more).

if you live in LA county, your car can be stolen, and in a metal container in long beach in less than 35 min.
lojack wont transmit a signal thru a metal container.

I owned two ITR's, both with lojack,.. both got stolen, and were never heard from again

the only value in lojack, in my opinion, is to lower insurance...

you guys are all wrong with the insurance.

They give you the money that the evo is WORTH, when it was stolen. If you have mods, they wont cover that, and they'll give you some blue book price that's worth less than what the car is really worth.

So at the end, you're really loosing a lot by having someone temper it (break glasses, scratches, steal things from inside, etc) and stealing your car.
