good news, 2.3 stroker under 2K
After I get my car paid off I'm going to look into a 2.3 or 2.4. I don't know if I would want to skimp on price though. I would probably just buy a BJ's complete engine top to bottom.
$2000 is dirt cheap. AEBS Racing 4.3 liter stroker kit with forged in internals for 350Z is $7,850 plus installation. Probably looking at near $10,000 total.
What kind of gains does the 2.3 liter stroker get in the EVO. Since that is a 15% increase in displacement, is a 15% increase in power, a reasonable guess? That would be 312 crank hp without changing anything else. But, I assume, the stroker kit is designed to let you run higher boost on stronger internals. Are the pistons forged?

Although eagle claims their products are made of 4130, I remember something along the lines of them getting their steel from korea or china & the quality isnt what one associates with american 4130 chromoly.
The tolerances are very loose with respects to being all over the place. So if you measure everything & it all checks out, great! Now if you plastic guage your engine, you stand to put together a time bomb.
I have heard a lot of happy people using their product.
However my dad is a 1st hand user who's rod journals for his 500 c.i. mopar was +/- .003! The rods were all over the place as well!
Needless to say he got his money back & bought different components.
Buyers beware!

I'd imagine it wouldn't really let you run any higher boost than what the stock turbo or even bigger turbo's are already capable of putting out on the 2.0 L. It would just let the turbo (esp. larger ones) spool a hell of a lot quicker.
You would be able to run extreamly more boost with this kit or any stroker kit. Not on the stock turbo becouse it cant handle any more but with a good turbo (gt35/40r) you could push i would say upwords of 30psi. It all depends on the craftsmanship of the products but eiter way you will be able to push more boost then stock. Plus you have a bigger displacement giveing you a chance to use a bigger turbo without the worry of lag. STROKER KITS ARE THE S***!
Az3ar,
Stroker kits do mean lower revs compared to 2.0l built engines but you can rev a decent kit to at least 7600 rpm's so your redline would not be effected. I'll take low end torque and quicker turbo spool over high revs on a street car any day.
