thats the advantage of the JUN over amny other (read bigger) strockers, you can rev them much higher. RC Developments 2.3 monster was producing top power at around 6.5K! i know moses in the uk was moaning about his 2.3 coz there was more power to come at the top end, but it was not safe to take it any higher.
but if you think the rev limit of the stock engine is high enough then why not run a 2.3? you will see better driveability and probaly more torque! and when you start to factor in the cost os something like the JUN kit, i can see why many go for the cheaper 4G64 crank option.
thanks Chris.

like i said, if you are happy with the stock EVOs rev ranage then go for it. but if you want to rev it higher, but still want more cc, then go for the JUN (or any other 2.2). there are other advantages to being able to rev the engine though. it generaly means you have less rotating mass and this means the engine will rev faster. also if you are racing, a wider useable rev ranage is better than more power/torque. as with all things, it depends on what you want.
thanks Chris.
PS. feldguy, no worries mate. im not into arguments anyway, its only my opinion at the end of the day so if you dont like it then say so. not heard anything about Simon breaking his car! shame, wish i had that think to brake, and to be able to say i was "testing it"!!!!LOL.
thanks Chris.

by the way., if you look in the Boost Solutions section on here i you will see that they are selling a complete 2.3ltr strocker for under 2K. looks very nice and seems to be proven (altough the rev limit seems high).
thanks Chris.
EDIT. pardon my ignorance. it is AMS that produces the above stroker not Boost Solutions! Sorry to all involed and anyone that i lead astray!

I'm down for anything that improves low-end torque.. I'm not overly interested in revving past 7800rpm (an occasional 8000rpm blast is ok though)
But anyone who knows me already knows that..
