I was going through the latest turbo mag and came across an ad with eagle, the same company that makes the affordable rods for cars. The ad had stroker kits for the hondas so I decided to call them this morning to see if they are planning on making a stroker kits for our cars and they are in the plans. they say within two months. it will be 2.3. it will include crank rods piston rings. and all this for under 2k. give them a buzz or email them at eaglerod@netten.net I don't know if I am able to post there phone number but you could get any turbo mag and get the number there. So fellow evo doers out ther pester them so they could experdite this kit sooner. peace.......

I use to have a turboed civic and hang around this crown. a few of my old buddies has used Eagle products and they have no problems with this vendor. I have read several turbo mags and read a lot of the cars this magazine features uses there products. I guess to really get a vendors reputation you have to call reputable engine builders that build import motors to ask there opinion. peace....
I have a Supercharged 388cid small block chevy engine making well over 600rwhp running an eagle offset ground crank, stroker pistons and rods.. I'll be the first to recommend their products..

I find that price a litle bit incredible, Im not doubting you but a good forged crank usually runs 1500 to 2k by itself. If thats the going price, great but I would find out more about the quality of that crank.
Nah, its not an unusual price for a domestic made forged crank, rods, pistons.. this would be really unbelievable if it were a billet crank, but these are likely machined forgings..
Most of the current kits you find are low production, and use billet cranks or low volume forgings, their expensive but the ultimate for durability.. Not to mention their imported.. once you start producing the parts domestically, you can get good quality for a much lower price.

So 2k for the for the kit, but who can do the install and how much does that cost. That probably has to be at least 4k and how long will a good shop be working on the car for.
Any qualified machine shop can take your block and clearance it for the new hardware.. It really depends on how much work you have them do.. If you send them a bare block and the kit, the clearancing and other stuff after tanking the block should cost anywhere from $500-$800 If you want the whole thing disassembled, modded, reassembled, etc.. it could cost in upwards of $2500.. It really depends on how much you want them to do.. and how qualified you are to reassemble your own engine.. personally I'd want them to take my core, head and other stuff, and get a complete long block back.. but figure in the end you'll spend $4000..
dude, if you're putting in a stroker... you damn well better have the money to pay someone to install it, or the know how and motivation to do it yourself.
