i have many friends that work in body shops. if you want the to be totaled then it will be. Look on the bright side of things if you want to fix it you dont have to go stock. upgrade for less money and you will be all set. there is momo wheel on e-bay right now for $200 that saves you some money, stock IC is like $900 you can get a aftermarket one i'm sure you will get paid for front rims, shocks, i'm sure stock hoods ae more than carbon fiber ones, JDM lights are less too. or you can just go get a new one.

I don't think so..... Just because you want it totalled, it won't make it so. The insurance company adjustor will look at the car. There is a lot of money riding on this for the insurance company and they don't give up any money very easily. The insurance adjustor is a trained professional and his word counts a lot in the insurance company's book. If the damage is less than 75% of the value of the car, unless the insurance adjustor plays along with the body shop and they turn in an estimate way over the actual cost of repairs, there is no way it will be totalled. I think the cost of repairs would have to exceed $18K before they total it....

You will be a lot better off buying it back if it is totalled just to get some money out of it. Hell, you should be able to get a good price on the Buschur kit one way or another and that is without taking the engine. tranny, transfer case ect into account. It just seems that you would get some good money out of those parts.

Damn, Aaron...sorry to hear about your car...I hope YOU are okay...you won't know if it's totalled until the adjuster takes a look at it...there's usually hidden damage that can push the cost high enough for them to total it.

Hopefully they will total it and you can get your mods off the car and transfer them to your new Evo...BTW, buy a black one this time!!!

as some of you may already know i was in an accident on July 7th. i nailed a curb at about 45 anddrove over the median. very dark and a blind curve. my damages came to $13k of my $28k declared value of allstate, so i have to have $21k in damages to be totalled (21k miles) insurance companies suck. i have had 2 suppliments already bringing my total to $15500. hmmmm.
