In fact I was tailed for the second time this week (yes it's only tuesday) commuting home from work.

Since I have bought this car in Feb o4, I have been pulled over more than I ever was in my WRX or STI.

There is definately profiling going on, probably due to the Fast and the stupid movies.

 

In my old evo..RR with the wing, I got pulled 3 times in a month...in my WW wingless RS I haven't had a cop look my way...

 

That's really funny. I've actually been thinking of going the white Celica route if this keeps up. That or a white 92 240sx. I'd be hard pressed to get speeding tickets in this.

I'm guess I'm not the only one in California that's experiencing this. It has really become crazed in the last few months.

 

i watch my rear view constantly and like i said in my post... i didn't BARELY even do anything wrong, 45 in a 35? c'mon... i was entering a lane to merge onto the freeway, you can't go wrong with that can you? it's profiling, cuz they can pull ANYONE over for ANY reason. no plates? my CAR IS NEW! do you think they pull over that dumb **** suv that just swerved across two lanes and didn't signal or look? NO! is that person a dumb *** and do they deserve to get pulled over BECAUSE OF THE WAY THEY ARE DRIVING??? YES! it's not the way you drive. it's however they ****in' feel like it. and believe me, i've read the scc on getting pulled over, i know what they look for (why you think i stick with white cars?) i do all the right things, turn off radio, turn off car, paper work ready. i even said the cop commended me on being so cooperative, I THANKED HIM FOR THE ****IN TICKET. does that change how the **** i got pulled over? no. is it wrong. yes. **** ****ty drivers and gettin' away with ****, i didn't do anything wrong and what's more there's other people right in front of him that are doing worse.

i got pulled over for doin the 79 in a 55....and my girlfriend pulled over...he asked who she was and i said my girlfriend...he went back to her car and said "i could give u a ticket to for doing 80mph...(shes in an 01 mustang)

even though he had enough room to pull out IN FRONT OF HER and catch up to me....she has her cruise set to 55 everytime on that road...and he said that to her and he also said "dont run with him....you wont catch up" roflmao...he said that to her when im driving the base lancer...how awesome is that...like u all said

I was pulled over twice in my first Evo with the GT wing, never got a ticket. After the death of the first one, I got nailed within the first week of having the replacement Evo with a CF wing. I have since replaced the CF wing with a Ralliart and have JDM tails and have yet to be even looked at...

 

i've gotten 2 tickets, and it's not the wing, it's the color of your car. Mine is bright red.

 

Nah, there's lots of red cars on the road, and no controlled statistical study has ever proven the old myth that red cars get pulled proportionally more than any other color car. One five year study in San Antonio showed that white was the most ticketed car color for speeding, followed by black. Red was a distant third. Now, this study didn't account for a larger proportion of cars on the road might be white. Or black. But red wasn't even in the same ballpark.

The big carbon fiber wing, clear tail lights, painted brake calipers, and coffee-can exhaust -- all of which a stock Evo has -- are like lightning rods to police. Add some underglows and a lot of graphics to your car and I can guarantee that you are a marked man.
