I love this car so far, it definately turns heads and I haven't lost a street race yet.

 

How many pounds did you save with the titanimum strut bar? Or did you just get it for the "bling bling" factor?

 

oh it's not just bling bling! This thing weight 2 lbs compared to nearly 20 for the stock one.

 

Damn that clear cover is sweet!

Since I barely got my car this Thursday, the only mods I got is an alarm and power locks lol.

 

how much are those door panels with power windows and locks? if i would have known i could easily get them i would have for sure got an rs. oh well.

 

It's not as easy as it sounds. First you have to find a wrecked EVO and buy the doors for a couple hundred bucks, then either take the motors, etc. out also or just pay a professional to do it. I'm just getting the panels and paying a place here near Dallas to put the motors, wiring, etc in. It'll end up costing around a $1000 total.

 

oh well, im happy with my VIII as is, i just would have like the front helical limited slip.

 

Are you talking about the strut bar under the hood that attaches to the firewall? If so, there's no way the stock one weighs 20lbs. Maybe 5lbs at the most. Weight it and report back here.

There is no armrest because there is no center console. Just a little cubby hole for mini-storage.

Yes, I bought it from Stoleman. But I think they probably inflated that figure. I only know of 3 RS's that came from there.

That's power at the wheels, but this dyno traditionally reads a little higher than the Mustang dynos. For a stock Evo, 220-250 bhp is the norm.

im working on getting an RS, but the local dealer who has the only one around me is being outrageous about the price... He first started the price at 30k. My eyes almost popped out of my head when he showed me it! I told them if they gave it to me for 24k i'd buy it on the spot, cash. But it was a no go! I was just wondering what you guys paid? Anyone recently buy one? I told them that the 05's were coming in a few weeks, but he still wouldn't sell me the 04 RS! Just curious b/c the finance manage told me if anyone bought an 04 RS for anything lower than 26k that they were lying (of course i dont believe him) but i wanna get the best deal i can, thanks... Sorry for the semi hijack, but if i do get this car, i will be posting here too. PM's would be best.
